A seal that carries the language of sustainability from the Earth into space.
About the project
The Astra Carta is the Sustainable Markets Initiative’s framework for responsible activity in space. LoveFrom designed its seal, unveiled by King Charles III at Buckingham Palace in June 2023.
An Earth-centred composition is layered with astronomical motion, an eclipse and constellations from both hemispheres. The design draws on celestial charts and astrophotography, balancing fine geometric lines against the depth of a dark field.
The seal extends the typographic and compositional language developed for Terra Carta. Its circular motto, crown and intricate structure connect the two initiatives while giving this second identity a distinctly cosmic character.
