About the project

The first LoveFrom, Moncler collection is a system of outer shells and an insulated core. A field jacket, parka and poncho connect to the core through the magnetic Duo button, allowing the pieces to work independently or together.

The fabric is a specially developed recycled nylon with an air-textured yarn and a matte finish. Unusually wide looms allow the outer garments to be folded from a single piece of fabric. The original colour family pairs a yellow core with green, light blue and orange shells; off-white versions were also offered.

The Duo button combines aluminium, brass, steel and a heat-resistant magnet. Its feel and audible click were part of the design process. LoveFrom’s contribution also reaches into labels, packaging and illustrated care instructions, where Montgomery the bear meets Moncler’s Monduck.

The collaboration also extended into moving images. LoveFrom commissioned DNEG IXP to produce a computer-generated product film for Moncler’s in-store LED walls, alongside high-resolution garment imagery. DNEG’s October 2024 project account documents the shared art direction and cloth animation behind that launch.
